Current List of Cleared Background ChecksCoaches, if your assistants aren't on this list then they have not been cleared to volunteer.
Who needs a background check? Any adult that is ever within 20 feet of the kids while instruction is happening. (Assistant coaches, parents helping to warm up before practice/games, dug-out scorekeeper, etc. Basically if you feel you have to ask, then yes, a background check should be run.) New requirement for all Little League Volunteers

You must open a BELL Sports Connect Account Prior to Volunteering:

JDP Background Check Process Updated for 2026
1) You must have an account set with our Sports Connect registration system (if you've registered players this part is done)
2) Click "Volunteer" tab on Left
3) Choose a voluteer option (please only choose 1, you can serve multiples roles)
4) Answer preliminary questions and submit ( you will need to upload drivers lic & Abuse Awareness Completion certificate)
5) BELL Rep will process this initial request (may take time as board member will have to be in the system to process)
6) you will receive an email with LInk to JDP where you will secrurely input personal info for background check
7) Once you're cleared your name will appear on list below
